TikTok is one of the fastest growing and hottest social media tools on the market. But, it's so much more than just videos, FYPs (For You Pages), comments, and reactions. Anyone can create and upload a video to their TikTok account in hopes of it going viral. Of course, luck may be on your side and your post might go viral without doing any of these. But who wants to take the chance of 'hoping it goes viral'?
Use these 5 steps to grow your TikTok audience.
Identify your target market
If you want to increase the number of followers on TikTok, it is important to know that each niche is different. When it comes to TikTok, you will not be able to satisfy everyone in every audience, so this is why it is crucial to know who your target market is. This will help you create videos that cater to their needs.
Remember to mix funny and engaging videos with videos featuring your products and/or services. This will keep your followers coming back from more. You never want to fill your feed with all funny & engaging videos or with all services and/or products. Remember to mix them up.
Take advantage of TikTok trends
One of the most popular ways to take advantage of TikTok trends is by using trending voiceovers or sounds. The music or the sounds you use can help your videos get discovered by a wider audience. Spending some time on the FYP (For You Page) can help you identify what is trending. Do your research to find out what music is being used by popular creators and then use those same trending audio tracks for your videos.
The key to success on any social media platform is to have regular content. Posting on a daily or weekly basis is the best practice. You should at least be posting every 2-3 days for the best results. One way to hold yourself accountable and stay on track with regularly posting content is to create a schedule and set deadlines for yourself.
Proper Usage of Hashtags
Without hashtags, your content will not be discovered by others. It is of the utmost importance to use relevant hashtags within your posts. It is very important to research what hashtags are trending. Check out the accounts of other users that are in your target market to see what hashtags they are using.
